FICTION: Truths Untold

Love, fate, and a whole lot of unspoken truths separate our heroes after the events of The Sixth Extinction...

I was hugely unsatisfied after watching the whole Biogenesis/Sixth Extinction/SE: Amor Fati episode arc. Thus explains TRUTHS UNTOLD.

Actually, first of all, I had a plan to consummate the relationship between Mulder and Scully during the show's seventh year and to call that series of stories, The Healing Waters. So that explains why the beginning of TRUTHS UNTOLD features a little vignette between Mulder and an "unnamed woman" (whom you should have no problem identifying).

The rest of it, was my impression of what Mulder might have been feeling about the whole experience, particularly where Scully was concerned. We had a situation where his life was in danger — in a way that was very different from anything that had come before — and Dana Scully was largely out of the picture and nowhere to be found.

In "my world", a relationship already exists between these two. What would Mulder have thought, during some of his darkest hours, about the most important person in his life who seemingly wasn't around? And what would he have thought about how Scully spoke to him when she finally appeared at his bedside?

I've already said what I thought about that the "hold on" speech. Since Mulder had mind-reading abilities, I gave him the opportunity to expound on that, to my satisfaction.
