Summary
This definitely had potential to be an excellent episode, but for a variety of reasons, it didn't quite make it up there for me. One major complaint was the horrible lighting throughout. There's dark for the sake of mood, but so dark that you can't see at certain points is a bit much. Technically speaking, however, there was no doubt that the overall concept was grand and illustrates once again how TXF is so much like a series of movies in terms of overall quality and scope. CC was robbed by the Emmy Committee on this one when he didn't even merit a nomination.
Best or Worst Moment
I'm going with an obvious choice in this one...the "I love you" that Mulder says so sincerely to Scully, who then basically sends the moment clunking back down to earth by thinking he's off his rocker. DD played it so perfectly there in his delivery of that simple line.
